Where to eat
Kraak! You've come to the right place. Here you'll find all the best places to eat on the island—the ones I know personally, the ones I see every day as I wander through the narrow streets and the harbor. This isn't just any list: these are the places I trust to recommend to you.
You can search by type of establishment—restaurant, pizzeria, bar, takeout—or by area. And since we're talking about areas, let me introduce them to you, because in Procida, every corner has its own character.
Marina Grande
is the harbor where the ferries arrive: the island's first breath. The spots here are concentrated, easy to reach, always bustling with people and boats coming and going.
Marina Corricella
is the one you see on all the postcards—and they're right. Pastel-colored houses perched right above the water, fishing boats, silence. Coming here to eat isn't just having lunch: it's stepping into a painting.
Marina Chiaiolella
is the quietest of the three. It has a long, peaceful promenade facing Ischia, and the sun sets right there in front of it. If you want to dine while watching the sky change colors, you know where to go.
Terra Murata
is the island's historic center, perched 100 meters above the sea. Squa-squa! From up there, you can see it all: on one side, the fishing village of Corricella; on the other, the Gulf of Naples with Capri in the background. There aren't many places to eat here, but they're surrounded by a view that's worth the trip alone.
And then there are spots that are a bit more hidden, nestled in greenery or offering unexpected views—just far enough from the port to feel like another island. It takes at most a few minutes by car or bike, about twenty by bus, and just over three-quarters of an hour on foot—but take your time, enjoying the journey.
Procida is small: there's no such thing as an "inconvenient" spot. There's only a place you haven't discovered yet.
Arturo is just a seagull, so take what he says with a grain of salt and always double-check the facts.
