Silurenza

Silurenza

We are near Marina Grande, the beating heart of Procida just steps away from the port of Procida. I often fly low over this area, gliding between boats rocking slowly in the harbor. Kraak!

It’s always a busy spot, often very crowded, because it sits just a short walk from the port and is easy to reach. The moment you arrive on the island, the sea already seems to lead you here. Criii!

Here you find everything you need for a day by the sea: a beach club, a bar where you can rest in the shade, and a wide free beach area where salt stays on your skin like a gift from the wind.

Did you know about the Cannone Rock? It gets its name because there is a real cannon embedded inside it, a piece of maritime history still facing the sea. Squa-squa!

Today, that rock is also a popular spot for diving into the water: a small leap into the blue that has become one of the local attractions. From the sea, it looks like a quiet guardian watching over the bay.

Arturo is just a seagull, so take what he says with a grain of salt and always double-check the facts.
