Beaches
Kraak! Procida's sand is dark — volcanic, just like the island itself. There's no shortage of free beaches: Pozzo Vecchio, made famous by Il Postino; the Chiaia with its 182 steps down and crystal-clear shallow waters, perfect for families. Then Ciraccio and Chiaiolella, sunny until late with both free areas and private beach clubs. For those who prefer a sunbed and umbrella, the lidos are well spread around the island. Criii! Procida's sea stays with you.
