The smartest move? Renting. You have more options than you might think, and each one opens up the island in its own way.
By bike or scooter
Electric bikes are the favourite among visitors — and I completely get why. Procida may look small, but it rolls up and down like the waves: the hills are real, and that little electric boost gets you everywhere without arriving out of breath. Criii! Electric scooters are a great option too — and if you'd rather not deal with a vehicle on your own, there are even shared ones: hop on, go, drop it off.
On the water
Squa-squa! And if the sea is calling you — and on Procida, it always does — know that you can rent all kinds of boats. Here, the water isn't a backdrop, it's the road. Grab a boat and discover the island from the side few people ever see: the one that only reveals itself from the water, where the colourful houses shimmer between the waves.
By car
For those who prefer something more familiar and comfortable, there's also car rental. Especially handy for groups or families with young children — no timetables to worry about, just stop wherever you want, whenever you want.
Kraak! Whatever you choose, remember: on Procida, nobody rushes. You savour every bend in the road, every slope down to the sea, every corner that smells of salt and feels like home.
